Weekly Summary - Mar. 23rd – Mar. 27th

Congratulations to PHS JROTC Drill Team and Color Guard for representing yourself and the school at the GA State Drill Team and Color Guard Competition in Griffin, GA this weekend. I hope that everyone have a great weekend. It’s March madness time, check your brackets. This week the cadets will be required to learn Drill and Ceremony movements, Uniform Inspection and Physical Fitness training this week. The PHS JROTC Instructors are very excited to continue with your education and we are looking for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will prepare for JROTC Accreditation Program (JPA).

Listed below is the schedule for the week of Mar. 23rd – Mar. 27th


Monday – – PHS Fitness challenge (1st Period) / Drill and Ceremony (All)
Essential Question: How can high school students create the best fitness program for middle school students? Can cadets identify the three types of uniforms? Do cadets know the different types stationary movements?

Tuesday – Citizenship Skills (All)
Essential Question: What are the citizenship skills and how are they represented in the Preamble of the Constitution?
Wednesday – Small Group Meetings (All)
Essential Question: What is the organization and process of a small group meeting?
Thursday – Uniform Class (ALL)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to wear the Army uniform?
Friday – Physical Fitness (All)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to choose the correct exercise program?
