Weekly Summary Sept. 28th - Oct. 2nd

I hope that everyone have a great weekend. This week the cadets will be required to learn Drill and Ceremony movements, Uniform Inspection and Physical Fitness training this week. The PHS JROTC Instructors are very excited to continue with your education and we are looking for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will prepare for JROTC Accreditation Program (JPA).

Listed below is the schedule for the week of Sept. 28th – Oct. 2nd  
Monday – Drill and Ceremony (All)
Essential Question: What are stationary movements and how are they used in Drill?
How are stationary and moving drills used during Drill and Ceremony?

Tuesday – The First Life Saving Steps  
Essential Question: How can performing CPR, rescue breathing, and abdominal thrusts save a life?

Wednesday – Controlling Bleeding  
Essential Question: Would you be able to save a life by providing first aid to a bleeding victim?

Thursday – Uniform Class (ALL)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to wear the Army uniform? Can cadets identify the three types of uniforms?

Friday – Physical Fitness (All)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to choose the correct exercise program?

Weekly Summary - Sept. 14 - 18


I hope everyone had a great weekend. The PHS JROTC Instructors continues to look for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last week, we conducted classes about Signs of Success and Physical Fitness Program, reassigned leadership positions, and issue awards / decorations. This week we will teach conduct classes, issue awards / decorations, drill and ceremony, physical training classes, and other classes listed below. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will continue to prepare for our Annual Formal Inspection (AFI).


Listed below is the schedule for the week.

Monday – Drill and Ceremony (All)

Tuesday – Class – Rank Structure (LET 1) / Choosing the Right Exercise (LET 2)

Wednesday – Study Habits (LET 1) / The Need for First Aid (LET 2)

Thursday - Uniform Inspection (All)

Friday – Physical Fitness (All)

Raider practice starts at 3:40; Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday in room 603

Weekly Plan - Sept. 7th - 11th


I hope that everyone had a great weekend. This week the cadets will begin their regular JROTC classes. They will be required to learn Drill and Ceremony movements, Uniform Inspection and Physical Fitness training this week. The PHS JROTC Instructors are very excited to continue with your education and we are looking for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will prepare for JROTC Accreditation Program (JPA).

Monday – LABOR DAY


Tuesday – Drill and Ceremony (All)
Essential Question: Can cadets identify the three types of uniforms? Do cadets know the different types stationary movements.


WednesdayNutrition – You Are What You Eat (LET 2) / Signs of Success (LET 1)
Essential Question: How can JROTC cadets ensure they are getting the essential nutrients needed through what they eat? How are Cadets recognized for their accomplishments while in JROTC?


Thursday – Uniform Class (ALL)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to wear the Army uniform?


Friday – Physical Fitness (All)
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to choose the correct exercise program?
