Weekly Summary Aug. 25th - 29th


I hope that everyone have a great weekend. This week the cadets will begin their regular JROTC classes. They will be required to learn Drill and Ceremony movements, Uniform Inspection and Physical Fitness training this week. The PHS JROTC Instructors are very excited to continue with your education and we are looking for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will prepare for JROTC Accreditation Program (JPA).

Listed below is the schedule for the week of Aug. 25th – 29th.

Monday – Drill and Ceremony (All)

Essential Question: Can cadets identify the three types of uniforms? Do cadets know the different types stationary movements?

Tuesday – Wearing of the Uniform Review (LET 1) and Assessment Review (LET 2) / Cadet Portfolio (All)

Essential Question: Can cadets identify the three types of uniforms? What is the purpose of a Cadet Career Portfolio and Assessment Review?

Wednesday – Making of a Better Citizen (LET 1) and The Components of Whole Health (LET 2)

Essential Question: How can JROTC cadets make good choices that affect their life – long health? How can JROTC help cadets become better students and citizens?

Thursday – Uniform Class (ALL)

Essential Question: Do cadets know how to wear the Army uniform?

Friday – Physical Fitness (All)

Essential Question: Do cadets know how to choose the correct exercise program?

They will also receive classes in Uniform Appearance, Drill and Ceremony, and Physical Fitness. Weekly Summary

This week everyone will take a common assessment exam and receive information about JROTC policies, Drill and Ceremony, Physical Fitness, Uniform Readiness and Classroom expectations. The PHS JROTC Instructors are very excited to continue with your education and we are looking for ways to assist cadets that need help in JROTC or with other classes. Last, the AJROTC battalion staff will prepare for new JROTC Accreditation Program (JPA). Listed below is the schedule for the week.
August 11th
Lesson: Welcome / Introductions / Schedules / Drill & Ceremony / Uniform Issue (LET 2 and above)

August 12th
Lesson: Welcome / Introductions / Common Assessment
Essential Question: Do cadets know the JROTC standards needed to master the class?
August 13th
Lesson: Welcome / Introductions / Schedules / Leadership positions assigned
Essential Question: Do cadets know how to be a leader? Do cadets know how to read their present schedules?
August 14th
Lesson: Welcome / Introductions / Schedules / / Drill & Ceremony / Uniform Issue (LET 2 and above)
